Congratulations for having the courage to find help. It is not easy to walk into a therapist office not knowing what to expect. I have over 20 years of experience working with a variety of people and a variety of problems. I am adept at using various cognitive and personality testing to help provide a more concise diagnosis and provide treatment recommendations. I very much enjoy working with couples and have experience in the area of infidelity. I also have worked extensively with individuals who have struggle with substance use and mental illness, often referred to as "dual-diagnosed."
I work from an interpersonal therapeutic approach, with a focus on helping the identified client or couple increase the quality of their relationships. I help identify thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, (often ingrained through childhood experiences) to help create change, and help reframe these beliefs and thoughts in order to move past the issue causing problems.
I believe in a warm, genuine, and compassionate interpersonal style, which fosters trust and honesty within the therapeutic dynamic. My goal is that you will experience psychological health that can enhance your quality of life, regardless of your life circumstances.
